[REVIEW] Nature Republic’s Soothing & Moisture Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel

Nature Republic Aloe Vera Gel

Nature Republic’s Soothing & Moisture Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel is the brand’s best selling item, and has sold about 1.50 million. It comes in a jar with 300ml (10.56oz) of product, and claims to relax all sensitive, reddish, or dried parts of the body. It can be used safely on both the face and body, and even on the nails or in the hair, and is moisturizing and rich in vitamins. It claims to have a paraben-, mineral oil-, and artifical color-free formula and is safe to use on all skin types.

The product comes in a green jar that’s about 4 inches wide by 2 inches deep. Although that may sound small, the jar does hold 300ml of product and honestly seems like it’s going to last you at least 6 months, even if you use it daily. If you use it on multiple parts of your body, it might last you less time, but if you use it just on your face, it could well last a year or more. Personally, I used it daily for a long time and then cut back on use and it lasted me from around February 2015 to now, with there being enough left for a good couple of uses.

The fact that it comes in a jar isn’t a deterrent to me, personally, but I know some people may be uncomfortable with the possibility of bacteria starting to grow. I wash my hands each time before I use it, so I’m not super worried about that happening, but if that’s a pressing concern I’d suggest buying a makeup spatula.

The product itself is very moisturizing and cooling on the skin, especially if you stick it in the fridge for a while to get it super cool. It’s not sticky, and doesn’t leave any residue, and dries within about five minutes. If you’re impatient, you can pat the gel into your skin and it’ll speed up the absorption time. If you used a bit too much, patting it in will also help it spread out. I think I usually only use about enough that fits on two fingers for my entire face, so you don't really need a lot.

I have normal/oily combination skin, with the oil concentrated mainly around my t-zone, and I love the way the gel moisturizes the drier parts of my face without causing the oilier parts of my face to get even oilier.

Overall, I’d give this a 5/5!
Pros
A lot of product for the price.
Fast absorption time.
Moisturizing without being sticky.
Multi-purpose use.
Cons
Comes in a jar, which might annoy or deter people concerned about bacteria growing.
I really liked it and I’m probably going to repurchase it when I get the time.

I got mine over at enospring from ebay, who’s a really convenient seller if you live in the US since they ship from New Jersey and sell it for about $8.30! (I got mine for $8.99, though, so I’m not sure if they change their listings slightly whenever they have to relist.)
