[REIVEW] Lockshop Wigs

Lockshop Wigs Pink Purple Mix Brown white cream mermaid mix

Hello! Today’s review is on two wigs I ordered from Lockshop Wigs back in 2015. (Unfortunately, I don’t think either of these specific wigs are available for purchase anymore. I'm pretty sure the brown one is from the Mermaid series, however.) Lockshop Wigs is a European based wig company that recently added a state side branch, allowing customers in the United States to order and receive their wigs quicker than it would’ve taken back when they were only based in Europe!

I ordered my wig back when it was still solely Europe based, which contributed to the amount of time I had to wait for my wigs to arrive. I had ordered my wig on the 14th of January, and they shipped it out on the 20th. The package arrived in New York on the 24th, but the postal office apparently had a mix-up because my package ended up in New Jersey and delayed there until I had to go pick it up at the post office on February 9th.

It came in a large white package, with pink wrapping paper covering the actual wigs inside. It came with two wig caps, which was really nice to get! Even though I already have a bunch of wig caps, it’s good to know that they’ll include one in each order in case you don’t have your own.

The wigs are both very soft, and look pretty natural since they don’t have a high shine to them. The bangs on the brown wig were very thick, so I ended up cutting them to get a slightly thinner and more blunt fringe. The front of the pink/purple wig doesn't look very thick when it's on a wighead, but when you're actually wearing it, the ends of it curl around your face in a way that doesn't look thin.

I really love both of these wigs and I’ve worn them numerous times throughout the time I’ve had them, and they don’t look worse for wear! Since the brown one is longer, though, it does require a bit higher maintenance as long wings do eventually end up tangling or frizzing a bit.

And here are some pictures of me wearing the wigs, for reference:
And the brown one before I cut the bangs:

Overall, I’d give both of these wigs a 5/5!
Pros
Thick and full wigs.
Numerous colors to choose from in the same style/series.
Low to little shine, giving them a more natural look.
Very soft and looks good even after long usage/wear.
A free wig cap comes with each wig.
Cons
On the pricier side; they're more towards the mid-range section, but not everyone wants to spend 39$ on a short wig.
Slightly higher maintenance when it comes to long wigs, though this is a more of a standard/common issue. This is more of a heads up if you want long, luxurious wigs but don't realize the care that goes into keeping it looking good and tangle/frizz free.
Sometimes wig styles or colors get discontinued, which can be disheartening if you'd had your heart set on a specific wig.
I would definitely repurchase/buy more wigs from them, especially since they now have a US store to buy from.

If you want a quality wig and don’t mind spending a bit more for them, I’d recommend checking out Lockshop! Their prices for their US based store range from $39 to $75, with their lacefront wigs being the most expensive, so it might be a bit of splurge depending on what you want, but I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
