Today we have a product I actually bought as a gift for my roommate back in May. The innisfree Eco Lasting Eyeliner is a quick dry, black liner featuring a soft, sponge tip that is supposed to make getting sleek and precise lines easier for eyeliner beginners. It also contains Green Tea Extract which is supposed to cause less irritation and safer for sensitive eyes.
I picked it out when I was searching for a liquid liner that was going to be fairly inexpensive- so when my roommate ran out of it, she could easily repurchase it. But also that was still of good quality and didn't perform like it was cheap.

Speaking of my roommate, she brought me tea in the middle of taking photos. |
Here are the ingredients- you can pull these off the innisfree US website.
WATER, ACRYLATES COPOLYMER, GLYCERIN, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL, ALCOHOL, ETHYL HEXANEDIOL, PENTYLENE GLYCOL, ACETYL TRIBUTYL CITRATE, BENTONITE, PHENOXYETHANOL, LAURETH- 21, SODIUM MAGNESIUM SILICATE, VP/VA COPOLYMER, XANTHAN GUM, PEG-40 HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL, SODIUM DEHYDROACETATE, SODIUM METAPHOSPHATE, DISODIUM EDTA, PANTHENOL, CAMELLIA SINENSIS LEAF EXTRACT [+/- (MAY CONTAIN) IRON OXIDES (CI 77499, CI 77492, CI 77491), BLACK 2 (CI 77266), MICA]
As you can see, the Green Tea Extract (Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract) is listed last on the ingredients, so I don't know how prominent of a role it actually plays in this formula, but I'm not complaining. This liner still does its job.
I used this eyeliner a couple times to see if I would purchase it for myself later. I like liquid liners, but I'm really picky and never happy with the formulas. I'm more of a gel liner person personally. But nonetheless, I love eyeliner, and I believe everyone should have one of every type in their collection.
When it comes to eye products, my roommate and I have similar problems, so we typically look for the same things in a product: we're both oily on our eyelids, so eyeliner smudges, smears, and fades quickly. We both have hooded eyelids (hers more-so than mine) so when we blink, the liner transfers to top of our crease. This is the absolute worst because it completely ruins the eyeshadow you worked so hard on, and you never notice till it's too late. At the end of the day, we would typically get a severe case of raccoon eyes from it smearing and flaking everywhere.
So I wanted to get an eyeliner that wouldn't have ANY of these problems.
And just as a quick note, my roommate is very pale. An NW20, I believe.

The soft, sponge brush tip. |
The brush tip is very flexible and doesn't feel rough on the eyelid when applying. I was confused when I read "sponge tip" the first time, but now that I've seen it in person and experienced it, I understand. It really is textured a little bit like a sponge, much softer than the typical felt tip. I didn't realize it was a thing before purchasing this, but I'm a fan!
Admittedly, the packaging of this is confusing because the liner is jet black, but the bottle is brown? I'm pretty sure everyone who has seen this eyeliner has been confused by this. The formula is very, very liquid-y. Be sure to wipe the tip off on the edge of the top before applying. Otherwise you will end up crying black tears because the residual liquid runs into your eye. That sounds incredibly unpleasant, but it didn't actually irritate my eye. It just looked VERY creepy. The same thing happened to my roommate, but neither of us experienced any blindness from it.
The line control gets a solid pass from me. The swirl on the left was done after a single dip, and the middle without double dipping- Just to show how well the tip holds the liquid. I wasn't expecting this to be so pigmented given how loose it is. It's easy to control pressure with this, so you'll have no problem achieving thin, crisp lines. But if you like your lines a little thicker like me, you're still in luck. Just lightly add pressure and bam. You won't even need to go over it again.

Close up so you can see the pigmentation. |
And yes, it dries just as fast as it claims. Near immediately, in fact. And there's no flaking at all. You can scratch this and it still won't come off. Once it's on there, it is on there. There is no budging- It's like tattoo eyeliner (that's an exaggeration. But god, it really does last.)
It's also waterproof! This is after I held my hand under warm, running water for a minute or two. Nothing happened. Still just as beautiful as it was before.

Test strokes after using face cleanser, warm water, and gentle scrubbing. |
This took me a bit of effort to get off my hand. Be careful not to scrub your eyelids trying to get this off. Invest in makeup wipes or something to remove this.
Even after entire days of wearing this with primer- and I'm talking over 10 hours, it'll hardly have faded at the end of the day. It's lasted almost as long for my roommate with no eye primer, so this is still a viable option if you are in a rush and don't feel like putting on primer that day!
Overall, I’d give this a 5/5!
☆ Dries within seconds of application.
☆ Great for getting thin, sharp wings.

☆ Doesn't irritate the eyes.
☆ Works wonderfully on oily and hooded eyelids, with or without primer. No flaking or transferring.
☆ High pigmentation- A true black.

☆ Inexpensive for a quality liquid liner (Hence the 'eco.')

Cons
☆ Very loose formula. If you don't remember to wipe off the tip, it will give you black scleras for a bit until your eye cries it out. Doesn't hurt, just terrifying.
I will definitely repurchase this for myself and probably as a gift for others again. I'm really pleased with this eyeliner. My roommate I gifted this too has also stated she will probably stock up on this eyeliner.
I purchased this from RubyRuby/RoseRoseShop for $6.71. If I remember correctly, it arrived within two weeks. Rubyruby is a popular Korean/Asian Beauty seller and very reliable. I highly recommend this eBay store for all your Asian Beauty needs.
