[REVIEW] Rilakkuma x A'PIEU Collaboration For Your Shadow Palette, No. 1 How To Some

Sorry for another late post! Last week was rough for me with moving and work.;; Don't try to rush everything, guys. Take it easy, don't stress.

This weeks fun fact: I love Rilakkuma. I love SAN-X characters in general, but I especially love Rilakkuma. So when I heard that, along with all the Minions and LINE Mascot makeup series, A'PIEU had also released a Rilakkuma set, I was on it. I had to get at least a couple of items from the series!
So I took a friend's advice and purchased them from ibuybeauti.com. I ended up getting carried away and doing a big haul, so I'll have plenty of things to review in the future!

The product I've chosen to review first is the one I was most excited about- Rilakkuma x A'PIEU Collaboration For Your Shadow palette No. 1 How To Some.

When I bought this, I was so worried after looking at the stock images these colors would not be pigmented enough to show up on my medium-tan skin. It's an issue I have often when buying eyeshadow palettes: Colors that show up on light or dark skin turn to mud or just appear nonexistent on me. I'm in that awkward, very orange, tan mid-range. 

Regardless, I said 'What The Heckies' and gave it a shot. 

Someones gotta do it, right? 

The palette comes with a tiny mirror pictured above. And I actually do use it. I normally hate the mirrors that palettes come with because they're either too small or the palette is too big to hold in a way that would make the mirror useful. But this one is just the right size for me. 

The size makes it perfect for traveling with as well. 

I love the plastic sheet that protected the eye shadows. It doesn't give the names of each, but that doesn't bother me because I don't particularly care. 

It looks cute, That's what counts. 

The No. 1 Palette contained 2 shimmers, a matte, and a glitter. I'm not a big fan of shimmers, and I considered getting the No. 4, but I didn't like the colours as much and I was worried they would show up even less on me. So No. 1 it was! 

Much to my surprise, they're VERY pigmented! They show up well on my skin, and I love how they look in fact. The matte is the perfect warm brown shade for my skin tone. I can use it as a transition shade or by itself for a natural, quick, everyday look. And either of the shimmers pair well with it.

The glitter is a little bit intense, and the moment your brush hits the pan, the fall out becomes real. Be careful, be gentle, and knock off excess before applying it to face.

The glitter and the darker shimmer don't last quite as long as the lighter shimmer and matte shade I've noticed. I don't expect glitter to last. Its job is to look cute for a minute and then disperse on to everything I love.

The versatility of this palette is awesome; I can use it by itself but it also pairs nicely with other eye shadows. 

And while it looks like a palette that belongs in the children's section, the quality is incredible. They apply nicely, the fallout could be so much worse, they feel great, and the matte and lighter shimmer can last you all day (with primer.) The other two a little less, but still pretty good all things considered. 

 

Overall, I'm gonna have to give this one a 5/5! I've been so pleasantly surprised by it, and it was everything I needed right now. ♥

 

Pros

☆ Pigmented.
☆ Applies smoothly. Not a lot of fallout except from the glitter. 
☆ Will stay on your face all day with minimal fading (with primer.)
☆ Frickin' adorable. 
☆ Very compact- perfect for traveling.

Cons

☆ The glitter's fallout can be bad if you're not careful. 
☆ The glitter and darker shimmer fade faster than the other two.
☆ Limited edition. :( 

If by some miracle, this is available again in the future, yes I would definitely repurchase it. But I really don't think that'll happen.
