[REVIEW] Etude House Eyeshadows - Look At My Eyes: Bling Me Prism, Cafe, and Monkey Wish Eyes

Hello! Today's review is on 7 eyeshadows I purchased from the various Etude House eyeshadow lines! I ordered from the Look At My Eyes Summer & Fall collections as well as the Cafe, Bling Me Prism, and Monkey Wish sets!

From the summer colors, I bought RD301 Jungle Red; the fall, RD303 Strawberry Buffet and PP505 Purple Brown; the cafe line, PP501 Sweet Potato Latte and PK004 Deep Berry Soda; the prism line, OR213 Suede Tassel; and the monkey wish line, PP508 Class is Cancelled-mong! (The mong part of its name comes from the sound monkeys make.)

From Left to Right: (1st Row) PK004 Deep Berry Soda, PP505 Purple Brown, PP501 Sweet Potato/Goguma Latte, (2nd Row) OR213 Suede Tassel, RD301 Jungle Red, RD303 Strawberry Buffet, (3rd Row) and PP508 Class is Cancelled-mong!
LtR: Same as above! PK004, PP505, PP501, OR213, RD301, RD303, PP508.
The eyeshadows are all soft and deposit quite a bit of pigment, though this apparently varies from shade to shade. All of the shades I bought are on the pigmented side, but some of Etude's lighter/more natural eyeshadow colors are known for being on the weaker side. Out of all of these, I think my favorites are RD301 and PP508! I love all of them, but the duochrome/shimmer in those two push it forward and make them more unique.

(Above: PP508, Below: RD301)

I will say that even though you can apply them either way, using your fingers will give you faster color payoff than patting it on with a brush if you're going for a wash of color.

The cases themselves are really cute, and I love the additional details on the prism and monkey wish lines' casing. They're all made so that you can pop out the eyeshadow and put it into a palette if you don't want to carry around individual shadows, but I think I'm going to keep them in their cases so that I can easily remember which shade is which. Weirdly, though, with the casing for PP508 it seems to lock closed really tightly, and a lot of the time I have to go get a knife of sharp object to pop open it. Something as thin as the sharp end of a comb works, but fair warning for those of you who might try to pry it open and stab your fingernail into the shadow (which, unfortunately, happened to me one time when I was rushing to open it).

I tried doing some eyeshadow looks below to show what they look like and what using a few of them together can make:

(All over: RD301, center: OR213, outer crease: PK004, undereye: RD303)
(All over: RD303, center and undereye: OR213)
(All over: PP501, crease: PP505, inner corner: PP508)

I definitely think if you really want the purple of PP501 to stand out, you shouldn't use a more saturated color with it. Due to the way the eye perceives colors, using a brighter color next to it is going to wash it out and make it look desaturated in comparison. It'll still look purple, but against PP508, the grey undertone in this shade comes forward a lot more than it did before I applied PP508.

Also, the way you apply PP508 really seems to change which color in it is dominant. Applying it wet seems to bring forward the pink shimmer, while patting it on dry seems to make the purple stand out.

Overall, I'd give these eyeshadows a 5/5! For the price, they're really good, and Etude is always coming out with more!

Pros
Inexpensive (Only around $2-4 each!!)
☆ Adorable packaging
Many colors to choose from.
 Soft texture.
 Long-lasting, especially with primer.
Pigmented (Though this depends, sometimes).
Cons
☆ Some shades aren't as pigmented as the others.

I would definitely repurchase this. Honestly, I already want to stock up on the Monkey Wish colors because I'm not sure how long it'll be before retailers run out of stock with this limited edition set. You can order them from eBay or various websites, but I got all of mine, minus PK004, from ibuybeauti!
